RuTAG Smart Village Centers
Driving Rural Innovation with Scalable Technological Solutions and Local Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Transformation.
What is RSVC ?
The RuTAG Smart Village Centers (RSVCs) are grassroots innovation hubs envisioned to bridge rural challenges with scalable technological solutions sourced from premier national institutions like IITs and IISc, under the guidance of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. These centers address critical needs in agriculture, renewable energy, rural livelihoods, and digital inclusion by deploying tested, context-appropriate innovations. As the designated implementing partner for southern India, Section Infin-8 (SI-8) leads the establishment, operationalization, and strategic scaling of RSVCs across the region. With its deep-rooted presence in the Karavali belt and strong partnerships with academia, government, and industry, SI-8 ensures that RSVCs not only deliver impactful solutions but also foster local entrepreneurship and long-term rural transformation.
MiTTi
MiTTi is an innovation platform connecting Corporates, PSUs, and academia to foster indigenous innovation and meaningful CSR impact.
MiTTi—short for Manthan International Federation Inventors Association, Industries, Tier 2 & 3 Colleges, Technologies & Innovation Hub—is a dynamic innovation platform designed to embed structured entrepreneurship ecosystems within Corporates and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). It aims to drive domain-specific innovation in areas of national importance such as defense, communications, infrastructure, and mobility. By forging active collaborations with academia and research institutions, MiTTi supports the development of indigenous technologies, thereby reducing reliance on foreign solutions. It also serves as a strategic vehicle to integrate startups into CSR initiatives, making corporate responsibility more impactful and innovation-driven.
